Just installed Norton 30 day trial, now some programs don't respond?
I just got this Sony Vaio vgn-nw240f running windows 7 and I was in love with it until I allowed the Norton Antivirus program to install.
Now my computer is extremely slow and programs such as windows live messenger and windows media player do not open and show as not responding. The norton link was also showing that it was not responding, so I forced it to close and went to uninstall norton but that also doesn't respond! I've shut down and restarted the computer, but the same results.
I tried a system recovery but that of course took too long to respond and shut itself down.
Anyone know what's wrong and what I can do to fix it? I just got this computer, I don't want it to have problems already!
As I said before: I CAN NOT UNINSTALL IT, IT WON'T WORK. I also can not do a system recovery. Thank you for those of you who will read this all the way through before answering.
I completely forgot about safe mode ^^' it worked, thank you!
get rid of it and install

Its Free. (available free at download.com)
Only runs on a genuine copy of windows.
Most updated anti-virus software.
Very light on system.
Scans removable drives as well.
