Anybody else think Quad SLi is a bit excessive?
I think it's just ridiculous how people want to push as many fps into a gaming experience that would justify dropping 1.1k on 2 GeForce 9800 GX2 video cards just to get 13 more frames per second on Crysis. Anybody else agree?
Just a tad. Besides the obviously excessive financial outlay, there's a significant environmental cost due to the massive power requirements that 4 GPUs demand. It's the equivalent to driving around in a Hummer.
There must be a lot of people out there with more money than sense.
