2 New OEM Hard Drives. Installation Help. What do I need?
I just bought a WD Caviar SE 160GB 8MB Cache SATA 3.0 for my Main (system operational programs). And a Samsung SpinPoint T Series 500GB 16MB Cache SATA 3.0 for my music and more. My PC specs are on the link below. I added a 7600GS Vid card 512, the new 700 watt, with 3 performances of DDR 3200 Ramm. It is our great second and more PC, but you should normally use and amounts of music is stored. How do I implement the best new HD? They are OEM do I need a SATA connection which goes to MB. HP specs say I have 2 Serial ATA connectors supporting 2 ports each with hot swap function. What does this mean? Any help would be great. Http: / / H10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document? u can Piggy Back connectors have 2 hard drives in a SATA cable. In fact, we run the operating system on your hard drive faster .. but thats just me. u can partition of 500GB and a drive letter to second for the music ... and use the 160 for other things like backup ... the slowest since the device. I do not know the importance of mentioning the video card or the PSU ... But beyond the SATA connections or just plug the AC adapter hard disks and U must be good to go.
